Clinical Nutritionist – Outpatient
Casual (19.5)
Schedule
Days: 3 days/week – Tuesday, Wednesday and flexible 3rd day
Hours: 8 am – 4 pm
Location: Hybrid – onsite at HSS Main Hospital (535 E. 70th Street) and remote
Position Summary
Successful candidate will support the Food and Nutrition Department at Hospital for Special Surgery by providing comprehensive outpatient nutrition care onsite, to meet our patients’ needs.
Position Skills/Requirements
- Strong clinical, critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to take initiative, working independently and efficiently, with good time management skills
- Responsibilities include:
- Treating patients both in-person and virtually
- Establishing and providing ongoing care
- Post-discharge phone calls to patients diagnosed with malnutrition during their inpatient admission, and facilitating transition to outpatient care as needed
- Experience with Epic preferred
Qualifications
Required Credentials
Registered Dietitian (RD)
Certified Dietitian Nutritionist (CDN) in NY state
Masters degree, preferred
