Job Description
Clinovator's is looking for a full-time on-site role as a Clinic Manager, located in San Antonio, TX. As the Clinic Manager, you will be responsible and accountable for nursing operations, training and development of qualified nurses, coordinating patient treatment plans, supervising and evaluating clinic staff, and budgeting of the Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) to ensure the clinic delivers top-quality healthcare services to our patients.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Actively providing nurse clinical support involves performing daily nursing job responsibilities for both RNs and LVNs on PACT Teams. This encompasses rooming patients, triaging patients' secure messages, addressing alerts, assisting providers with treatment needs, conducting face-to-face nurse visits with patients, and undertaking other necessary duties.
- Address patient grievances and clinic complaints/concerns within the defined timeframe or within 24 hours per Clinovators standard.
- Collaborating with the Medical Director to ensure operational support for all providers and proposing workflow alterations to enhance patient outcomes and treatment effectiveness.
- Conducting daily huddles with team members to discuss operational topics like schedules, team member availability, updates on VA or Clinovators policies/procedures, and other pertinent matters.
- Organizing monthly staff meetings to review clinic achievements, VA metric status, operational issues, team member feedback, clinic goals, and other relevant topics.
- Participating in weekly leadership calls with Directors of Clinical Operations and Executive Leadership, and various VA calls on operations.
- Supervising and evaluating team members' conduct, work performance, and attendance daily.
- Taking disciplinary actions when necessary and managing team members' leave requests, call-ins, or unplanned absences to ensure adequate support for the clinic's needs and patient care.
- Conducting annual evaluations for each team member to assess accomplishments, identify development areas, outline growth opportunities, and set goals.
- Providing coaching, mentorship, and support to help Clinovators team members succeed and achieve their goals.
- Analyzing VA Metric reports regularly to ensure clinic compliance with VA and Clinovators standards.
- Contributing to clinic operational growth and success by proposing innovative processes based on reporting insights and firsthand clinic experiences.
- Managing timecards daily and processing payroll bi-weekly for all team members, excluding providers.
- Assisting team members with Human Resources needs in collaboration with the Human Resource Manager.
- Cross-training on all clinic job functionalities to ensure readiness to fulfill any duty when required, including front desk and MAS schedule training through the VA.
- Collaborating with VA and outside vendors daily to resolve non-clinic operational issues as needed.
- Ensuring clinic compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, VA, and Joint Commission standards to maintain safety and operational compliance.
- Overseeing completion of annual training for all team members, including VA and Clinovators courses/plans.
- Conducting clinic "mock" EOC audits to ensure safety and operational compliance.
- Fostering a culture aligned with Clinovators standards, promoting awareness of the VA I-CARE model, the VA and Clinovators mission, exceptional customer service to Veterans, and maintaining a positive, supportive workplace environment for all team members and providers.
- Providing operational support to VA employees in the clinic for various services to Veterans, such as Social Work, Pharmacy, Mental Health, and Nutrition.
- Performing any other duties as requested by Executive Leadership.
Knowledge & Skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally (in person, electronically, and/or by telephone), with internal and external customers
- Advanced knowledge of medical terminology specific to understanding medical diagnosis and procedures
- Veteran or VA patient care experience highly preferred
- Must be proficient in written and spoken English; fluent Spanish is a plus
- Must have knowledge of and familiarity with Microsoft Office and G-Suite Products
- CPRS (EMR) and Vista Scheduling System experience is a plus
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree, and/or 4+ years verifiable work experience as a Clinical Manager or Clinical Operations Manager
