We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of:
CLINICAL LABORATORY SCIENTIST
Under general direction, the CLINICAL LABORATORY SCIENTIST (CLS) is responsible for performing specialized tasks involving medical laboratory testing. The CLS performs laboratory testing and reports results, proof tests and assumes responsibility for accuracy.

CLINICAL LABORATORY SCIENTIST
Under general direction, the CLINICAL LABORATORY SCIENTIST (CLS) is responsible for performing specialized tasks involving medical laboratory testing. The CLS performs laboratory testing and reports results, proof tests and assumes responsibility for accuracy.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs procedures which include calibrating of instruments, assessing accuracy of equipment, determining accuracy of tests ensuring they are reproducible.
- Reads test results and examines and interprets outcome to identify departures from “norms.” Activities include hematological, biochemical, serological and microbiologic tests.
- Develops recording systems to assure necessary controls in each step of procedure and proper documentation.
- Responsible for simple maintenance and adjustment of equipment and making up more difficult reagents.
- May direct work of laboratory support staff.
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Science.
- Current CA CLS License.
- Minimum 1-year clinical laboratory experience in an acute care environment.
- Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written); Must be able to deal tactfully with patients, physicians and staff.
