Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS)

Northridge, CA | Contract | $40-50/hr

Kelly is hiring a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) responsible for supporting the productivity and operations of the Clinical Laboratory in manufacturing blood-based products. The CLS ensures clinical regulatory compliance (CLIA, CAP, etc.) in collaboration with senior medical leadership.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Participate in maintaining SOP and GMP compliance.
Engage in staff training programs and proficiency tests.
Maintain professional interactions and image.
Complete GMP collection documents and review test results.
Contribute to projects aimed at improving efficiency and evaluating lab equipment needs.
Troubleshoot lab issues and document corrective actions.
Prepare materials for audits and inspections (AABB, FDA, State).
Assist in budget development and maintain lab inventory.
Perform leukopak processing and blood product testing.
Maintain and validate lab equipment.
Adhere to SOPs, cGMPs, and safety rules.
Utilize blood product information systems.

Qualifications & Skills:

BS/BA in Life Science; MS preferred.
2+ years laboratory experience with cGMP or GLP preferred.
CA state CLS licensure required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Ability to learn new software quickly.
Experience with medical and scientific lab equipment.
