About the Job
Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is hiring an experienced Clinical Lab Specialist to work full-time day shifts in Hematology.

Job Responsibilities:
- Oversees operations in Hematology, coagulation, and urinalysis.
Analyzes patient data and suggests physician protocol for confirming patient diagnosis
- Contributes to the success of the organization through achievement of system, hospital and departmental goals and objectives
- Serves as Hematology subject matter expert within system level steering committees.
- Generates and reviews laboratory policy and procedure in compliance with system and regulatory bodies.
- Develops training and competency protocols for Hematology, coagulation, nd urinalysis laboratory in collaboration with leadership team.
- Travel to Sentara facilities
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors (required)
- Masters (preferred)
- ASCP or AMT certification (required)
- Hematology certification (preferred)
- 5 years of laboratory experience
