Job Title: Clinical Fellow
Reports to: Supervising BCBA
Education: Completed or near completion of Master's Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education or other related field, is required.
Certification/License: BCBA candidate.
Summary: Providing leadership and training support for the Center Director in the following areas: client programming; behavior interventions; staff development; classroom management; and parent training.
Ally Behavior Centers is a center-based early intensive behavioral intervention program designed to help children with autism fulfill their potential. Our focus is on building communication, social, and adaptive skills and decreasing problem behaviors.
Essential Experience, Responsibilities, and Skills
Under the Supervision of BCBA/Center Director:
- Work 1:1 with clients for at least 20 hours per week.
- Responsible for spending most of the time supporting less senior staff on the team (Coach RBTs on how to perform programs, support staff on the floor to problem solve, create materials that are of use to the therapists to help provide therapy Ideas, conduct IOA and treatment integrity checks, conduct YMQI assessments, support additional data collection)
- Assist with unrestricted activities (review data to assess progress, conduct assessments, write assessment, write treatment plans, update assessment grids, write descriptions of new target goals, attend and participate in parent training, conduct functional assessments, conduct indirect assessments (Functional Assessment Interview), write behavior intervention plans, provide Behavior Skills Training for new programs,
- Collaborate with other members of the team in a positive and professional way.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Sound understanding of the Principles of Applied Behavior Analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Other job-related duties and responsibilities assigned by the Center Operations Manager and Center Director
Desired Qualifications
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst candidate
- Well-rounded knowledge of ABA Principles
- Ability to assess, treat, and problem-solve behavior intervention and skill-building programs
Professional Development and Training
- Attend all mandatory staff and team meetings
- Maintain BACB Certification and relevant state licensure
- Attend monthly trainings and professional development opportunities, as required
- Complete Ally Behavior Centers specific and required trainings during an initial 90-day probationary period from start date
- Complete other trainings related to field as assigned by the supervisor
Physical and Work Requirements
- Sit on the floor, kneel, crawl, squat or stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to bend, reach, and hold objects
- Lift 30 pounds
- Effectively implement and physically implement PCM procedures (when trained)
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities
