Pay Range: 25.20 - 39.69
Rush salaries are determined by many factors including, but not limited to, education, job-related experience and skills, as well as internal equity and industry specific market data. The pay range for each role reflects Rush’s anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position. Offers may very depending on the circumstances of each case.
Summary:
The Clinical Education Manager will manage academic activities related to education in the M3 and M4 years of the Rush Medical College curriculum and assist with other clinical education activities. The manager’s primary responsibilities are to ensure successful implementation, maintenance, continuous improvement, and evaluation of the educational program. In addition to providing administrative support, the manager is responsible for the management and execution of all elements of the program. The manager will exemplify the Rush mission, vision and values and act in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

Required Job Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree and two years of relevant work experience required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Forms, and SharePoint) and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
• 1-2 years of education coordinator experience
• Prior management experience helpful
• Previous experience using relevant learning management systems such as Oasis, Entrada or other similar software.
• Previous experience using collaboration software, particularly Zoom, WebEx and/or Teams.
Physical Demands:
• This is a hybrid position with a maximum of 2 days working at home per week. Schedule will be arranged with the team and will be based on individual and student needs.
• This position rarely requires occasional evenings and weekends.

• Flexibility to learn new technology systems and to identify areas for self-directed learning.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to exhibit a professional, courteous manner when communicating with medical students, faculty and staff.

• Ability to prioritize appropriately and meet deadlines, and set goals.
• Ability to manage multiple complicated tasks and work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to perform as a team player, show enthusiasm and patience and act as a role model/resource for other department administrative support staff.
• Ability to take initiative and represent the college independently and demonstrate professionalism in dealing with students, faculty, and staff.

Responsibilities:
• Assists in supervising staff in all their curriculum-based tasks as well as directs monthly meetings including scheduling, monitoring and documentation, creating, or obtaining information/data.
• Manages processing of grades for M3 students – manages clerkship coordinators to ensure timely grade completion, reviews gradebooks for errors, provides support for any issues with grading process, and communicates any incomplete data with assistant director, clinical curriculum.
• Ensures that M3 and M4 course syllabi are updated and uploaded to Microsoft Teams every term, as well as updated in the student-facing handbook.
• Supervises Visiting Student Application Process – requires working knowledge of VSLO and program requirements and liaisons with individual departments regarding needs.
• Maintains affiliation agreements/MOUs in collaboration with legal and clinical sites.
• Assist with Graduation Audits, Clerkship/Elective Lottery, MSPE development and Class Rank determination efforts as requested.
• Provides support and accurate information to students on a variety of issues including clinical schedules and the grading process.
• Develop high-level support skills with Learning Management Systems (OASIS, Entrada, Alchemer) to provide support to all members of the clinical team.
• Develop working knowledge of NBME examination process (including NBME clinical subject examination, USMLE Step 1 and USMLE Step 2)
• Assist with special projects as requested.
• Promote a positive and productive environment, encouraging teamwork and communication and demonstrating a collaborative and innovative attitude toward the program, including coverage when necessary.
• Self-evaluate and set professional goals, develop plans for continuing education and training to meet the needs of the programs, and attend job-related training and in-service sessions.
• Maintain high standards of customer service, productivity, and the Rush core values. Maintain a professional demeanor, dedicated to the goals of OIME and the institution
