Clinical Device Specialist - Zachary Piper LLC

Piper Companies is seeking a Clinical Device Specialist to assist with a network segmentation project. This position is on-site in Hershey, PA and is a 3–6-month contract opportunity. Schedule is 2^nd shift (3pm – 11pm, weekdays).

Responsibilities of the Clinical Device Specialist:

• Identify Imaging/medical devices based on system map/spreadsheets.
• Physically locate devices, document MAC addresses (both portable and hardwired).
• Submit requests for new IP or MAC addresses as needed.
• Link each device to the appropriate vendor or device owner for testing.
• Collaborate with department managers to ensure accurate device identification and testing.
• Maintain accurate records of all identified devices and their network information.

Qualifications for the Clinical Device Specialist:

• Experience in a healthcare or clinical engineering environment is preferred.
• Strong technical skills, particularly in network management and device identification.
• Familiarity with MAC addresses, IP requests, and network segmentation.
• Ability to navigate healthcare settings and interact with department managers.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Adaptability and willingness to learn specifics of medical devices if coming from an IT support background.

Compensation/Benefits for the Clinical Device Specialist:

• Hourly rate: $35-$45/hr depending on experience
