JOB SUMMARY: The Registered Respiratory Therapist Learning and Development Coordinator, is a registered respiratory therapist with demonstrated clinical and management skills who is accountable and responsible for maintaining the standards of care, coordinating operations, and supervising personnel in the Hospital. A second important function is the ability to work in a collaborative manner with the physicians, shift directors and admission resource managers to facilitate timely patient care considering resources, patient care needs, and quality, safe care. Responsible and accountable for staffing and scheduling changes once the schedule is posted. Additional responsibilities include ensuring process improvement and service excellence improvement initiatives are followed. Responsible for the implementation of the vision, mission, philosophy, core values, evidence-based practice, and standards of the organization, and respiratory therapy services within the Hospital.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program.
- A BS in respiratory therapy, management, or health care is required.
- Must be a Licensed Registered Respiratory Therapist in Maryland.
- Minimum of three (3) years experience in direct patient care.
- Previous experience in perinatal and adult critical care.
- Minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated leadership experience is required.
