About the Job
Our client, an innovative fintech company at the forefront of digital financial solutions, is seeking a Clinical CMC Finance Director to join their team. This role combines expertise in finance with an understanding of product development and regulatory compliance in the fintech industry.
The Clinical CMC Finance Director will be responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of the company's product development lifecycle, from conception through clinical testing and regulatory approval to market launch. This role requires a unique blend of financial acumen, understanding of fintech product development processes, and knowledge of regulatory requirements in the financial services industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial planning and analysis for the company's product development pipeline
- Develop and manage budgets for product development projects, including clinical testing phases
- Collaborate with product development teams to ensure financial viability of new fintech solutions
- Oversee cost management and financial risk assessment for product development initiatives
- Develop financial models to forecast costs and revenues associated with new products
- Analyze and report on financial performance of products in development and clinical testing phases
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations related to product development and testing
- Manage relationships with external partners, including financial institutions and regulatory bodies
- Provide financial insights to support go/no-go decisions in the product development process
- Develop and implement financial controls and processes for the product development lifecycle
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and board members
- Collaborate with other departments to align product development finances with overall company strategy
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or Master's degree preferred
- Professional qualification such as CPA, CFA, or equivalent is a bonus
- 10+ years of experience in finance roles, with at least 5 years in product development finance
- Strong understanding of fintech product development processes and regulatory environment
- Experience with financial modeling and analysis in a product development context
- Knowledge of clinical testing processes and associated financial implications
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership and communication abilities
- Proficiency in financial software and data analysis tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in both finance and technology sectors
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and their financial implications
- Knowledge of international financial regulations and compliance requirements
- Experience with blockchain technology and cryptocurrency-related products
