Job Summary:
As a Clinical Assistant, you'll be instrumental in providing both technical support and clinical assistance in our fast-paced Primary Care clinic. Under general supervision, you'll work closely with our clinical team to deliver outstanding patient care and contribute to the achievement of team goals. Moreover, this role offers valuable clinical hours that can bolster your application for medical school, PA programs, nursing school, and beyond.
Responsibilities:
Utilize your tech-savvy skills to assist patients with our internal messaging channels and guide them through using our mobile app and medical devices.
Communicate effectively with individuals of all technological backgrounds, ensuring clear understanding and patient empowerment.
Collaborate seamlessly with teammates, providers, and clinic staff to facilitate smooth operations.
Assist with direct patient care procedures, including checking in patients, obtaining vital signs, and preparing charts.
Maintain meticulous documentation in electronic health records to uphold accuracy and compliance.
Perform routine specialized procedures, such as setting up products for patients.
Coordinate with providers to obtain pertinent labs and tests as needed.
Manage clinic inventories and medical supplies to ensure adequate stock levels.
Educate and advise patients on medical issues within established parameters, including prescription information.
Direct patient flow according to provider schedules and appointments.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in assigned examination rooms.
Support routine office activities and administrative functions to enhance clinic operations.
Uphold safety, environmental, and infection control protocols to ensure a safe healthcare environment.
Conduct patient outreach calls using provided scripts to schedule appointments, provide follow-up care information, and promote health education.
Qualifications and Skills:
Associate degree or above is REQUIRED.
Exceptional communication abilities and keen attention to detail.
Demonstrated patience and empathy, particularly when interacting with elderly patients.
Familiarity with basic medical procedures and terminologies is advantageous.
Strong problem-solving skills paired with adaptability and a passion for learning.
Collaborative team player with leadership potential, able to motivate peers and maintain accurate records.
Bilingual proficiency in Cantonese is a plus.
