About the Job
JOB DEFINITION:
Responsible for assisting clinical staff at PROS in scheduling appointments, obtaining prior authorization for medication, and contacting pharmacies, hospitals, and other entities to ensure we are meeting the clinical needs of our clients.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent. College preferred.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Scheduling and tracking clinical appointments based on client need and in accordance with PROS rules and regulations.
- Notifying and reminding clients of their
- Communicating schedule changes and adjustments with all necessary
- Paging and assisting clients in getting to theirc linical appointments, and helping to track the times of their appointments.
- Checking clinical sign-in sheets daily to ensure accuracy with codesand times, and following up as needed.
- Checking clinical notes daily to make sure they are completed and medications are prescribed, and following up as needed.
- Maintain an accurate scheduling and filing system in accordance with departmental
- Workingwithpharmaciesandinsurancecompaniestoobtainpriorauthorizationsfor
- Contacting pharmacies to follow-up on any medication
- Contacting hospitals to assist in obtaining discharge paperwork and other needed clinical information.
- Contacting other outside entities as requested by clinical staff to coordinate care for
- Participating in daily morning meetings and working collaboratively with our multi- disciplinary team to best meet the clinical needs of our clients.
- Maintaining professional and customer service focus in all interactions with internal and external contacts.
- Assuming clerical responsibility on an as-needed basis,including answering the phone and registering incoming clients.
- Identify and implement quality improvement trainings and activities as part of professional development goals.
- Encourage quality improvement processes and provide consistent resources for QI and professional development
