Role Description
This is a contract role for a Clinical Accreditation Specialist. The Clinical Accreditation Specialist will focus on evaluating the clinical operations of VA medical centers in the Greater Pennsylvania area, ensuring adherence to TJC standards across all relevant departments, including hospitals, Community Living Centers (CLCs), Behavioral Health, Home Care, Laboratories, and Ambulatory Care services. This individual will conduct tracer methodology reviews, evaluate National Patient Safety Goals (NPSG), and assess the readiness of clinical staff and processes
Qualifications:
- TJC Surveyor Experience
- The Clinical Accreditation Specialist must have prior experience serving as a TJC surveyor or hold equivalent credentials that enable them to conduct in-depth reviews of clinical operations. This ensures that they have a comprehensive understanding of TJC’s
- Experience within the VHA
- The Clinical Accreditation Specialist must have prior experience working within the VHA environment, with a demonstrated understanding of the
- Expertise in Multiple Domains
- The Clinical Accreditation Specialist must have specialized knowledge in key clinical areas, including hospitals,
Key Competencies:
- Strong understanding of clinical best practices and patient care standards
- Expertise in applying the tracer methodology to follow patient care processes and ensure compliance across multiple departments.
- Ability to identify clinical deficiencies and provide actionable recommendations for corrective actions.
Travel to Pennsylvania and other Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 4 locations will be required for no longer than 5 days at a time. You will not have to pay out of pocket for travel.
