Description/Job Summary
The VDC manager will be vital in driving VDC implementation throughout TA Loving Company. The role bridges the gap between the core construction operations and the technology utilized to optimize those operations. This individual will plan and direct the virtual design & construction department and activities.Responsibilities/Duties
- Develop and implement strategic VDC and technology initiatives that align with TA Loving business goals.
- Oversee and manage technology-centric construction tasks such as anchor bolt checks, under slab verification, survey back-checks, site control establishment and more. These tasks require a deep understanding of construction operations and their ability to interface with the technology needed to optimize.
- Implement a comprehensive documentation process utilizing VDC technology.
- Organize, handle, and interpret various data & models to ensure accurate project planning and execution.
- Establish a VDC-driven QC/QA program to document adherence to requirements.
- Establish internal controls and guidelines for vdc transactions and activities.
- Prepare business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets for the VDC department.
- Oversee the production of periodic VDC reports; ensure the reported results comply with generally accepted VDC industry principles and/or TA loving VDC goals.
- Plan and manage VDC resources throughout the fiscal year, including VDC software & software agreements and Open Space project documentation. Matterport project documentation, as well as the interaction of these systems with Procore Project Management software, also compile annual reports to shareholders explaining VDC activities and ta loving's position within the industry.
- Audit projects to ensure we are maximizing VDC utilization as it relates to quality control.
- Maximize usage of VDC during preconstruction to minimize construction coordination issues.
- Maximize the usage of VDC as support to the sales & marketing department.
- Assist in the preparation & delivery of sales proposals & presentations in the pursuit of project awards.
- Provide financial analysis assisting with capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations related to VDC implementation.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements as it relates to vdc, or other systems used by vdc department.
- Manage & train the VDC team.
- Coach, mentor, train, and hold accountable the VDC team.
