Clinic Nurse Practitioner | Full Time | Day Shift - Peterson Health

The licensed and credentialed Nurse Practitioner provides diagnosis, treatment, consultation and follow-up under the supervision of one or more Physicians in the Peterson Community Care clinic. The Nurse Practitioner provides age and specialty appropriate medical care at the level of training achieved. Carries out all duties while maintaining compliance and confidentiality while promoting the mission and philosophy of the organization.

Required Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Technical Skills:

Required: Ability to work in an independent and interdependent relationship with members of the medical staff; ability to cope with disruptions to daily work schedule; computer literacy and familiarity with operation of basic office equipment; must be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people; knowledge of disease processes, excellent critical thinking skills; ability to read, analyze and comprehend complex clinical and financial data and apply such to level of care criteria.

Preferred: Experience with Athena, MediTech and/or other electronic health record software preferred. Spanish speaking preferred.

Licensure

Required: Current licensure in Texas a Registered Nurse with recognition as an Advance Practice Nurse with prescriptive authority. Certified as Nurse Practitioner through an approved certifying agency.

Preferred: Certification in specialty area.

Preferred Experience:
Two or more years of experience in Community Health and related field preferred.
