Job Description/Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the Practice Administrator, the Clinic Manager, Ambulatory Services, provides day-to-day administration of clinics/office/business, including communication, meetings, personnel records, fiscal systems and facilities operation. This position is responsible for successful coordination of clinic activities and appropriate scheduling to meet demands of clinic volume. This position assists the Practice Administrator in providing leadership for hiring and evaluating department staff, providing training, work direction, and coordination of work flow for support personnel.
Position Requirements:
Minimum Education: High school graduate, GED or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred
Minimum Experience: Minimum - 5 years of direct experience in the hospital or medical office setting required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Demonstrated ability to design/implement office systems. Excellent interpersonal skills necessary in order to provide effective leadership to employees and to interact effectively with visitors, staff, providers and ancillary services variety of departmental personnel. Analytic skills necessary in order to interpret and enforce policies and procedures, determine efficient staffing, identify problems, and initiate appropriate corrective actions. Ability to interact successfully with staff, providers and all levels of management administration. Demonstrates knowledge of budgeting process and implementation.
Technical Knowledge: Basic computer skills required. Knowledgeable using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred.
