Summary
Under the direction of the Clinical Integration & Value Based Outcomes Supervisor, responsible for facilitating data collection through concurrent and retrospective review in order to address quality measures provided by our Clinically Integrated Network Value based payers. Responsible for maintaining timely upkeep of necessary data abstraction, analysis and reporting of physician specific quality data. Duties include medical record review in current EMR, Legacy systems, and/or third party vendors. Requires efficiency, organization and ability to multi task with varying timelines. Communicates with patients, physicians and care teams effectively to promote decision making processes to assist in continued achievement of improved patient care and healthcare gaps. Performs outreach directly to patients in collaborated effort amongst varying departments within Parkview Health to secure scheduling and closure of desired clinical outcome opportunities. Maintains clear and concise communication throughout these processes through detailed documentation and ongoing review for continued process improvement and or enhancements.
Education
Requires an Associate's degree in accredited Medical Assistance program or related health care field.
Licensure/Certification
AAMA certification, Registered Health Information Technician(RHIT), or equivalent preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 3 years experience in an ambulatory physician office setting.
Other Qualifications
Must demonstrate expertise and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint software programs. Strong medical background in terminology and experience in a clinical setting. Proficiency and knowledge utilizing Epic EMR system preferred. Strong ability in both verbal and written communication skills. Excellent attention to detail, organizational and interpersonal skills to perform tasks at a high rate of accuracy. Demonstrate excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills set. Must be a self-starter along with an ability to manage workload and prioritize appropriately.
