Job Summary
The Client Service and Sales Associate will be in a support role, helping drive sales in partnership with our Director. You are responsible for fostering relationships with financial advisors to initiate meetings and selling opportunities, developing marketing strategies to effectively position Riverwater products, and facilitating sales operations for an exceptional experience. You are in a key position to support the firm reaching its sales targets. You have drive, grit, and determination to excel in your financial services career. Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
- Call on Financial Advisors to communicate strategies that drive increased product sales for Riverwater's offerings
- Implement business strategies to support the firm's overall growth and success
Client Service & Relationship Management:
- Steward relationships, including scheduling appointments and maintaining CRM systems to ensure well-defined service models
- Respond to inquiries promptly and professionally, ensuring all issues are resolved efficiently
- Assist with planning and executing firm events, including developing materials and managing communications
Marketing & Operations:
- Lead quarterly review processes, manage ad hoc portfolio reporting, and integrate reporting data across platforms
- Support compliance initiatives, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements
- Serve as a liaison between marketing and sales to help design marketing content that effectively positions Riverwater strategies
- Assist in preparing promotional materials, maintaining databases, and supporting the sales team with reporting and analytics
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of proven sales experience in financial services
- Successfully completed FINRA Series 65 (or Series 66)
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of mutual funds sales or client service experience
- Experience with financial product sales, business development, and consultative selling
- Understanding financial calculations/metrics (PE Ratio, ROE, Cash flow per share)
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Familiarity with CRM systems and experience with data/reporting tools
- Advanced level Excel functions
- Experience in database management, RFP responses, and competitive analysis
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to make independent judgment calls
- Experience with FactSet, Morningstar, and/or eVestment
