Client Relationship Consultant - Group Benefits - Principal Financial Group

What You'll Do:

As a Client Relationship Consultant, you will partner closely with our Sales team and Broker partners to:

 

• Deliver upon a strategic relationship plan that includes quarterly/annual goals
• Provide expert renewal analysis
• Deliver outstanding service and selling of new lines of business

This opportunity plays a meaningful role in delivering profitable revenue growth of an assigned block of in-force group business by developing and implementing customized strategies. This will be done through strategy discussions with the sales representatives and brokers.

Who You Are:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus 4+ years related experience (group benefits and/or account management experience preferred).
• Life and Health Insurance Licenses required for all states in which business will be conducted or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment required. Active life/health license preferred.
• Must have excellent persuasion, interpersonal, problem-solving, decision-making, time management, presentation, listening, and oral/written communication skills, as well as analytical skills.
• Advanced math skills required with basic skills related to graphs, symbols, equations, etc.
• Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of business unit applications preferred.
• Maintain accuracy while being detail oriented.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality is essential.
• Occasional travel required, including overnight stays for face-to-face interaction with customers and brokers.
• As a required part of the role, candidate must be able to provide personal transportation to business related events.

Salary Range Information:Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.Salary Range:$66000 - $111100 / yearTime Off Program:Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.Pension Eligible:YesAdditional Information:

Location

This role offers the ability for a hybrid (blending both office and remote work in a typical workweek) work arrangements. It is required to go into the Downers Grove office 2 days per week and able to work from home the remaining time, after training.  Management reserves the right to adjust the days required in office.  

 

Job Level

We are willing to consider hiring at the Sr. Client Relationship Consultant level depending on qualifications, experience, and skills.
