Summary
As a key member of the Client Acquisition Team, this position is responsible for assisting the firm in generating new business income, thereby directly contributing to the overall prosperity and growth of the firm. The Client Development Executive (CDE) helps drive new business opportunities through targeted approaches and coordinated cross-selling strategies. This is accomplished by facilitating, organizing, and executing the business development strategies in assigned territories to include leveraging attorney resources and helping attorneys drive business opportunities.
Location
This position can sit in our New York, Washington, DC, Austin, or Palo Alto office.
Responsibilities
+ Manages the sales process and pipeline as well as with practice group leaders, key attorneys and colleagues in the marketing department.
+ Leads and/or participates in meeting with existing clients and prospects.
+ Helps create and foster a culture within the region that embraces a thoughtful, strategic and aggressive approach towards expanding business within existing clients and developing new clients.
+ Actively cultivates referral network, independently, as well as in partnership with attorneys. Identifies leads, industry trends and gathers intelligence on prospects and emerging markets and competition toward the goal of populating the pipeline and increasing effectiveness in starting and closing new business.
+ Serves as a sales and business development coach to selected attorneys. Assists attorneys in meeting agreed upon goals and becoming more effective in sales and client relations.
+ Conducts periodic client satisfaction surveys and other meetings with key clients. Identifies service issues and focuses on increasing client satisfaction.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Desired Skills
Extensive experience and success with client development and building client relationships. Must have proven track record as an effective sales/business development specialist, preferably in a professional services industry. Excellent presentation and communication skills require to interact with senior executives and lawyers on a regular basis. Ability to quickly develop rapport and gain respect al all levels of an organization. Must have strong business acumen, be a self-started and self-motivated.
Minimum Education
+ Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communication, or related field
Minimum Years of Experience
+ 10 years’ experience in Business development experience preferable in a law firm or professional services organization.

The firm’s expected hiring range for this position is $181,692 - $267,597 per year depending on the candidate’s geographic market location.
The compensation offered for employment will also be dependent on other factors including the candidate’s experience, skills, educational and professional background, and overall qualifications. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k).
