Job Summary:
As a Client Developer, you will lead business development initiatives and collaborate with Marketing and Project Management teams across various sectors, including economic/commercial/industrial development, municipal/governmental projects, the healthcare sector, and more.
- Strategy: Partner with local staff to set sales goals and cultivate relationships with key decision-makers to drive business plans.
- Business Development: Enhance client relationships, win new clients, and collaborate on multidisciplinary projects to boost success rates. Maintain active involvement in professional associations for networking and growth.
- Marketing: Plan association involvement and advertising strategies, organizing local events to enhance engagement.
- Proposals / Requests for Qualifications: Assist in developing and submitting proposals and responses to RFQs.
- Train: Assist in sharing business development skills with client managers and staff.
- Lead: Prepare and lead monthly Business Development meetings to align efforts.
To excel as a Client Developer with S&ME, you will have a proven track record of success in researching, prospecting, and scheduling face-to-face meetings with key decision-makers and influencers, resulting in qualified opportunities. Current involvement and visibility in professional organizations, industry associations, civic groups, and/or local associations for economic and business growth is a plus.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, marketing, construction, business, or a related field
- Minimum of 6 years of technical and/or business development experience within the Commercial Real Estate, Architecture, Construction, and Engineering industries
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Existing relationships with various A/E/C industry Designers, Contractors, and Owners
- You are willing and able to travel, using personal vehicles for use during company business, which may sometimes occur during evenings and on weekends
- The ability to increase sales opportunities for S&ME and achieve a sales target
