DESCRIPTION OF WORK The Clerical Assistant 2 in this position reports to the Regional HR Liaison and is responsible for duties involving automotive operations, supplies, purchasing, and inventory for the Southeast Region. You will prepare monthly usage and maintenance reports from Monthly Automotive Report (MAR) database. You will also maintain the Monthly Automotive Report database and generate monthly reports using information from the database. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring vehicles are used in compliance with Commonwealth automotive regulations.

Work Schedule and Additional Information
Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Salary: Most selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $35,306 (before taxes). REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or Graduation from high school; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Other Requirements: You must be in possession of a valid PA driver's license. You must meet the PA residency requirement. Class Restrictions for Promotion Without Examination Only - You must have or have held regular civil service status in one of the following classifications: Clerical Assistant 1 We will also consider applications from current Commonwealth employees in pay scale group ST02 for which there is a logical occupational, functional, or career developmental relationship to this position. All applicants must meet the minimum experience and training requirements.
Employees who previously held regular civil service status in the job title of the position being filled are also eligible for promotion without examination. The promotion without examination requirements are issued in accordance with merit system employment regulations. Meritorious service is defined as (a) the absence of any disciplin above the level of written reprimand during the 12 months preceding the closing date of the posting, and (b) the last regular or probationary performance evaluation showing an overall rating of satisfactory or higher.
