Linux Systems Engineer role

System Engineer to join a dynamic Customer team supporting large, complex and

secure environments. This position is located in the Northern Virginia area

and requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph in order to be considered.

Primary responsibilities include all aspects of the product development life cycle – creating, implementing, and supporting new product features and capabilities; improving data processing methods; monitoring and tracking system performance via metrics; managing system access control and security; and systems support including maintenance items such as patching. The Linux Systems Engineer will establish and maintain pre-production environments and will assist in developing and implementing a plan to migrate existing applications from the physical server infrastructure to the enterprise level C2S platform. They will also be responsible for helping to support hundreds of Linux/UNIX machines, VMWare hosts, and EC2 instances in a hybrid computing environment.

•Must have a TS/SCI with poly to be considered

•Demonstrated experience with Linux system administration and

engineering

•Experience with Linux CentOS 7, Red Hat 7 and/or Scientific Linux 5

(SL5)

•Demonstrated experience managing backup and recovery and systems and

data.

•Demonstrated experience with configuration build support and

documentation
