Class A Delivery Driver - Burke Distributing Corp

Burke Distributing, a local beer distributor that has been in business for 89 years, is looking to hire Class A Drivers to deliver beer products to accounts in the Greater Boston Area.

Compensation:

• Class A Driver Rate: $28.55/hour and Incentive Average: $60/day

In the Union Contract, the rate of pay changes for the job that you are performing. If you are working as a Delivery Helper, the rate of pay is $25.65/hour. A Delivery Helper is still entitled to the incentive average of $60/day.

Required Skills

• Ability to safely operate Class A vehicles
• Knowledge of the greater Boston Area and surrounding towns
• Ability to lift up to a 15.5-gallon keg (equivalent to 161 pounds)
• Ability to use a two-wheeler and electric jack for retail deliveries
• Ability to go up and down multiple flights stairs for retail deliveries
• Ability to communicate and work with customers and coworkers in a professional manner

Licenses and Other Requirements:

• Valid Class A Driver’s License or Class A Permit
• Valid DOT Medical Card
• Must successfully pass pre-employment testing including a background check, MVR, drug test, and strength evaluation.
