HERE'S WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
As an integral member of the Team, this position is responsible for:
- Evaluate the information received to determine if the claim is compensable and if a claim needs to be set-up with our insurance carrier for General Liability claims.
- Advise and /or assists management in conducting investigation of accident reports, including interviewing of employees and witnesses, for workman's compensation claims, liability, and auto claims. Strong auto claims experience.
- Compile facts and data regarding accident reports and filed cases. Ensure that all employee incidents and injuries are reported.
- Manage drug testing to ensure that all employees complete all required drug and assessment testing following a claim.
- Responsible for keeping employees informed of their work status, requirements, and work accommodation specifications. Document the next doctor's visit until the employee is discharged. Work with payroll to obtain wages for the claim adjuster.
- Work directly with employees and the restaurant managers to facilitate a return to work either on a full-time or on modified duty basis.
- Enter all the claim information in the carrier database. Record detailed notes when speaking with a claim adjuster, manager, attorney, or employee.
- Work with both the claim adjuster and the nurse case manager if required, to manage the claim from initial medical requests to reviewing and evaluating on going medical information.
- Provides legal support by assembling documentation for settlement action.
- Process auto accident reports, set up claim files and report claim to employer's auto insurance carrier when necessary.
- Obtain field reports and other law enforcement reports that are applicable to auto accidents and workers compensation claims. Investigate and gather all applicable documentation and supporting evidence including objects, pictures, surveillance, employee, and witness statements.
- Manage both new and existing claims that are open and follow up with proper parties until closure.
- Accountable for updating OSHA 300 logs for required reporting, including updating the status of open claims monthly and closing of claims as they are completed.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of government safety regulations.
- Maintains good relationships with internal Operations team and external Insurance Carriers.
HERE'S WHAT Education & Experience YOU WILL NEED:
- High School Diploma or GED; Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred.
- 2-4 years of dedicated experience in processing Workers Compensation claims, General Liability and Auto claims.
- Extensive knowledge of insurance-related policies including Workers Compensation, General Liability and Auto.
- Strong property claims experience.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Must maintain strict confidentiality of all information.
- Must be able to communicate clearly, both written and orally to employees and management.
