The Claims Vendor Operations Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of Claims Vendor Operations Analysts and Senior Claims Vendor Operations Analysts.
Effectively managing the performance of direct reports, motivating and inspiring teams towards achieving goals.
The Claims Vendor Operations Supervisor is a critical thinker, who engages in independent analysis, operational efficiencies and making recommendations to Claims Operations Manager on workflow, policies, and procedures.
- Provide leadership and direction to Claims Vendor Operations unit including appropriate task assignments, effective training and development, appropriate performance management, adherence to department policies and procedures, and ensure that the unit resources are efficiently utilized to achieve operational objectives.
- Execute functional strategies in alignment with organizational strategies.
- Exchange information about the Claims Vendor Operations processes and set expectations to establish and maintain superior relationships and elevate partner and customer service.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal and external customers, gather, analyze, and distribute information to satisfy needs of business partners.
- Provide advice and service in area of expertise so as to influence decisions and actions of others; exchange information, including business requirements, within own department and across organization so as to achieve functional and business objectives.
- Provide meaningful participation in claims team meetings, claims strategy meetings, and instances where Claims Vendor Operations input is required to facilitate claims solutions for prospective accounts.
- Provide timely and meaningful communications with managers, department members, and Director to facilitate optimal performance.
- Recognize process inefficiencies and contribute substantive input to claims partners to facilitate optimum solutions.
- Utilize efficient desk and time management skills to facilitate effective service practices and support quality customer and business resource relationships; seek opportunities to improve efficiencies and processes.
Education
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree
Work Experience
- Minimum 2+ years Supervisor experience strongly preferred
- Thorough knowledge of claims life cycle and its relation to vendor & claims operational needs
- Relevant work experience in Vendor Management (Claims and/or Legal), Claims Operations, and Customer Service
