Job Details
Our company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Claims Manager to oversee and direct our claims department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the claims process, from initial reporting to final resolution. Responsibilities:
1. Manage the entire lifecycle of a claim, including reporting, investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and resolution.
2. Oversee and direct the work of claims adjusters and support staff.
3. Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the claims process.
4. Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines and company policies.
5. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices.
6. Collaborate with other departments, such as underwriting and legal, to ensure a seamless claims experience for our customers.
7. Provide regular reports and analytics on claims activity to senior management.
8. Handle complex and high-value claims, including those involving litigation.
9. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing training and development opportunities for claims staff.
10. Foster a positive and supportive work environment that encourages teamwork and high performance.
Qualifications:
1. Must possess a valid Claims Adjuster License.
2. Must have EPL (Employment Practices Liability)
3. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in claims management, preferably in the insurance industry.
4. Proven experience in managing the entire claims process, from reporting to resolution.
5. Strong knowledge of claims handling procedures, legal principles, and insurance policies.
6. Proficiency in reporting and analytics, with the ability to interpret and present complex data.
7. Experience in handling claims involving litigation.
8. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and external partners.
10. A strong commitment to customer service and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
11. Proficiency in using claims management software and other relevant technology.
