Job Details
We are seeking a dedicated and analytical Claims Examiner to join our dynamic team. This position is permanent and full-time, providing the successful candidate with an exciting opportunity to contribute and grow in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The Claims Examiner will be responsible for investigating, analyzing, and determining the extent of the company's liability and administering insurance claims. If you have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of risk management, and a passion for providing excellent service, this is the role for you.
Responsibilities:
1. Review and examine insurance claims to determine the extent of liability, using knowledge of insurance contracts, and state and federal regulations.
2. Analyze information gathered by investigation and report findings and recommendations.
3. Interview or correspond with agents and claimants to correct errors or omissions and to investigate questionable claims.
4. Consult with legal counsel on claims requiring litigation and assist in the litigation process.
5. Negotiate claim settlements and recommend litigation when settlement cannot be negotiated.
6. Identify potential fraudulent cases and refer questionable claims to the investigator.
7. Utilize advanced analytics to identify trends and patterns in claims data.
8. Work closely with risk management to develop strategies for minimizing the risk of future claims.
9. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with policyholders, agents, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a Claims Examiner role or similar position.
2. Proven experience working with insurance claims, litigation processes, risk management, and advanced analytics.
3. Strong knowledge of insurance contracts, state and federal regulations related to insurance claims.
4. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex information and identify trends.
5. Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of successful claim settlements.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision.
8. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
9. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field is preferred.
10. Certification as a Professional Claims Examiner or similar is a plus.
