Job Description
We are looking for a Claims Assistant to support day-to-day activities within the claims team. Manage the claims mailbox, answer claimant queries, provide timely follow-ups, receive and file claims. Incorporate all aspects of claims handling by recording, tracking, and processing member, client, and vendor invoices for the services we provide.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct claimant communication professionally with compassion while sharing claim specific information.
- Read and interpret insurance policy documentation required and follow procedures and guidelines to manage claimant relations.
- Maintain timely communication and collaborate with the claims team.
- Inbound/outbound phone calls to claimants while acting in the best interests of our company.
- Participate in claims related administrative tasks.
Qualifications:
- Strong email, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Customer service experience
- Teamwork and relationship building skills
