During this 6-month program, you will acquire the skills to evaluate, negotiate, and resolve Workers' Compensation Claims. The program includes comprehensive training, job shadowing, and industry knowledge. Upon completion, you will be equipped to succeed as a Claims Adjuster on our Workers' Compensation team.

Note, this is an in-office opportunity out of our Las Vegas, NV office.
Responsibilities:Training Timeline
- First 30 Days: Getting systems oriented and going through Workers’ Compensation training in a group setting.
- Next 90 Days: Shadowing experienced adjusters and taking on a small claims load to understand the life of a claim.
- 6 Month Mark: Receiving your Adjusters license and moving up within your Claims career.
What You’ll Learn
- Examination: Determine liability.
- Investigation: Interview claimants, insured, review doctor’s files and gather notes.
- Negotiation: Learn and be trained in the best negotiation tactics. You will negotiate with claimants and insureds.
- Settlement: Resolve the claim to the findings of the claim.
Job Responsibilities Post Training
- Investigating workers’ compensation claims by contacting injured workers, medical providers, and employer representatives to determine their validity under applicable workers’ comp statutes. Communicating with medical providers to authorize appropriate treatment plans.
- Review and analyze medical bills to ensure they are related to workers' compensation injuries and comply with the treatment plan.
- Ensure timely remittance of payments for medical bills and income replacement in accordance with applicable fee schedules and statutes.
- Handle pending claims from claimants, policyholders, and medical providers.
- Consult with attorneys regarding litigation management, settlement strategy and claim resolution.
Requirements
- 4-year College Degree OR 3+ years of Corporate Office Experience.
- Strong communication, organization, and time management are essential for success.
