Job Details
We are searching for a dynamic and innovative Civil Site Project Engineer to join our team. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in our site development projects. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our engineering team, responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the construction of our site development projects. This role will be based in our Indianapolis, IN offices and visit local site projects as needed.
Responsibilities:
1. Design, plan, and supervise the construction of infrastructure projects including but not limited to roads, bridges, buildings, water supply systems, and sewage systems.
2. Utilize advanced tools such as Civil 3D and AutoCAD to create detailed and precise designs.
3. Perform land surveying tasks and develop site grading plans.
4. Conduct hydrology studies and design stormwater management systems.
5. Evaluate potential construction sites and assess risks, costs, and potential environmental impacts.
6. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
7. Develop and implement project schedules and work plans.
8. Ensure all designs and constructions comply with local and federal engineering standards and regulations.
9. Provide technical support for construction crews and conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design specifications.
10. Prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field. A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
2. 4+ years of experience in civil site project engineering, with a focus on site design and development.
3. Have your FE minimally, but a professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
4. Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and construction project management.
5. Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and other relevant software.
6. Knowledge of hydrology, drainage, stormwater, land surveying, and grading.
7. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
8. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
10. Willingness to travel to construction sites as needed.
