As a Civil Site Design Engineer/Designer, you will play a pivotal role in producing engineering drawings, specifications, and material requirements for civil site work design projects. Your focus will span a range of critical functions, including grading and drainage, erosion control, oil containment, and more. With a strong emphasis on safety, quality, scheduling, and cost-effectiveness, you'll be at the forefront of shaping the future of utility infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
- Prioritize SAFETY as the top priority, embodying a "Safety First" mentality and leading by example.
- Prepare top-notch civil sitework design packages using CAD-based tools for the construction and modification of substation and transmission facilities.
- Collaborate with various departments involved in Civil Design and engage with manufacturers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve standards and material issues.
- Provide crucial support to multiple facets, including Construction Services, Project Management, and Field Services.
- Conduct site visits throughout project lifecycles, from pre-construction meetings to post-construction assessments, with occasional overnight travel.
- Actively participate in design review meetings and manage multiple tasks effectively to achieve project team goals.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations governing civil grading design and construction, including NPDES and general construction principles.
- General understanding of surveying, land acquisition, and easement processes.
- Proficiency in civil construction methods, equipment, and techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to design civil sitework land development projects, encompassing site grading, stormwater design, erosion control, and permitting.
- Skill in interpreting and applying design criteria and government regulations to construction drawings.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Experience in grading design, erosion control design, hydrology, and stormwater design.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
- $22.00/hr. - $46.00/hr.
- 36/44 rotating shift.
- Hybrid Role.
