About the Job
A client of Insight Global's is looking for an Engineering Business Manager to join their Market Development team within the Civil Infrastructure Division. This individual must live within Pacific Northwest region as they will spearhead these markets in business development, marketing, sales, profitability, and overall product development for geotextiles and erosion control products. Overall, this individual will be the "face" to engineers, regulatory agencies, distribution customers, the contracting community, and the transportation industry as whole. This individual will work remotely but will be traveling up to a max of 50% travel. A typical day could entail doing promotions for the company, driving business by meeting engineers, conducting lunch presentations, and creating business plans for key influencers.
Travel
- Up to 50% domestic travel in designated territory (Washington and Oregon)
- A lot of travel can be day travel
- Traveling for: conferences, seminars, visiting customers, engineering shows, etc.
- All reimbursed - flights, hotels, meals, etc.
- General lunches w/clients & engineering calls
Must Haves:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Mgt, or related
- 5 - 10+ years of experience within engineering pertaining to design, specification's, bidding, and technical reports
- Experience within sales, marketing, or business development within an engineering capacity
- Ability for 30-50% domestic travel
Plusses:
- Consulting Sales experience in related industry
- Roadway design experience (big plus)
- PE License
- Experience with local DOTs
Candidates must live in one of the states in the Pacific Northwest territory (WA & OR)
**This is a commission-based, sales role. The base salary range for this position is $105,000-125,000. OTE will be $143,000-190,000. Commission and earning potential is uncapped. **
