Job Details
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Civil Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is an exciting opportunity to showcase your expertise in the Engineering industry and work on various high-profile projects. As a Civil Project Engineer, you will have the chance to work in a stimulating and challenging environment where innovation and professional growth are encouraged. You will be part of a dedicated team of professionals where your contributions will significantly impact our projects' success.
Responsibilities
1. Plan, design, and oversee construction and maintenance of building structures, and infrastructure, such as roads, railways, airports, bridges, harbors, dams, irrigation projects, power plants, and water and sewerage systems.
2. Analyze maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, and other topographical or geologic data to plan projects.
3. Compute load and grade requirements, water flow rates, and material stress factors to determine design specifications.
4. Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety or sanitation standards.
5. Direct construction, operations, and maintenance activities at project site.
6. Conduct studies of traffic patterns or environmental conditions to identify engineering problems and assess the potential impact of projects.
7. Use AutoCAD to create and revise technical drawings and plans.
8. Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with AASHTO standards, and other relevant codes and regulations.
9. Oversee and perform quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) on projects to maintain the standard of work.
10. Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and other professional staff, especially quantity surveyors and the overall project manager.
Qualifications
1. A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Civil Project Engineer or a similar role in the Engineering industry.
3. A Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
4. Proven experience with AASHTO, QA, QC, drawings, maps, and AutoCAD.
5. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a high level of accuracy in calculations and design.
6. Excellent leadership and project management skills.
7. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capability to work in a team environment.
8. The ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
9. Proficiency in using computer software for designing and calculating engineering specifications.
10. A keen eye for detail and a result-driven approach.
