EnviroScience is seeking to add a highly capable licensed civil engineer at our Richmond VA office. This is an excellent opportunity with high potential for growth, including leading and executing tasks and projects, mentoring junior staff, and developing project pursuits and opportunities. Our ideal candidates will have experience in fast-paced, multifaceted areas of engineering including environmental compliance, stormwater management, and water resources.
This position will be accountable for:
- Demonstrates and personifies an attitude of professionalism, customer service, work ethic and the positive spirit for all employees in the office.
- Project management, supervision, and oversight of engineering projects and working with other professional staff.
- The engineer will take an active role in project design, permitting and document preparation, managing budgets and timelines, and performing due diligence.
- Serves as a technical resource for the project team and office staff. Reviews work of other engineers/staff to ensure compliance with engineering design, applicable permits, constructability, industry standards, completeness, and presentation.
- Developing business and clients locally
- Having a strong desire to improve the environment while working as a client advocate is at the core of what we do.
- The ideal candidate for this position would be a design minded, environmentally focused individual with the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master of Science degree in civil or environmental engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience is required.
- Experience shall include project management of stormwater, compliance, and environmental engineering projects.
- State Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)
- Ability to work independently and multi-task regularly in a fast-paced environment with multiple changes.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D is required and experience with Hydraflow, HEC-RAS or other hydraulic and hydrologic modelling is a plus.
- Strong management skills including participation in management meetings, strategic planning, and establishing revenue goals and departmental/office budgets.
