Job Details
The ideal candidate must be able to work in a team environment as a key member of a professional engineering and surveying department assisting in the completion of various civil engineering, land development and planning assignments.
· Performing day-to-day management of civil engineering projects, with a focus in land development. Typical tasks likely include the following:
Planning and Entitlement Plan Design and Preparation.
Site/Grading Plan Design Preparation.
Stormwater Management Computations and Plan Preparation.
Erosion and Sediment Control Design and Plan Preparation.
Well and Septic Design and Plan Preparation.
As-Built Plan Preparation.
Permitting and Coordination and use of Electronic Plan Submission Software Programs.
Client, Outside Consultant and Jurisdictional Agency Coordination.
Construction Coordination and Meeting Attendance for O’C&L Engineered Projects.
· Performing occasional field work to support engineering and/or surveying assignments.
· Providing support for the Construction Consulting and Litigation Support departments when needed and warranted.
· A four (4) year degree in Civil Engineering, Land Development or a similar field from an accredited College or University.
· Two (2) or more years of experience working in the field of Civil Engineering and/or Land Development.
· Proficiency in the use of typical drafting and engineering programs, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD, TR-55, TR-20, FlowMaster, or other typical engineering software programs.
· A Valid Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification or Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred, but not required.
· Ability to read, understand, and interpret construction plans.
