ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
AutoCAD Civil 3D.
completed project, working under supervision of firm principal.

Job Details
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Prepare civil site designs and construction documents for land development projects utilizing
AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Work with minimal information and rough sketches to develop civil site designs into a
completed project, working under supervision of firm principal.
- Perform discipline design tasks which require the application of fundamental engineering
concepts and mathematical formulas (i.e. plan/profiles, grading, cross-sections, drainage, water
and sewer flow calculations, etc.).
- Determine construction quantities and perform necessary calculations using accepted
engineering formulas and references.
- Development of site details for design elements which have not been clearly defined in the
layouts and sketches.
- Create various section cuts, profiles and cross-sections utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Prepare drainage design, calculations, and reports including storm sewer systems and detention
ponds; water quality calculations including green infrastructure practices (i.e. bio-retention) for
residential and commercial site development projects in the Middle Tennessee area.
- Prepare application packages including calculations and narrative reports, such as Class V
Injection Well permit applications and SWPPP NOI/NOC permit applications for review and
approval by Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC).
- Prepare applications for submittal of water and sanitary sewer plans to TDEC for review and
approval.
- Must possess good administrative and management skills to file electronic submissions and
monitor the review and approval process of engineering designs/drawings and reports for
development projects in various cities in middle Tennessee.
- Perform related fundamental engineering support tasks, such as printing drawings, preparing
project submittals, addressing review comments, meeting with clients, preparing drainage
reports, etc.
