Join us at AECOM and be part of an extraordinary team shaping the future of Los Angeles's infrastructure Duties include but are not limited to + Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer. + Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures. + Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests. + Proposes an approach to solving new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments. + Identifies discrepancies in results. + Provides guidance to entry-level engineers. + Performs work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule with little supervision. + Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works. + Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position. **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements:** + BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or any related discipline and 4 years of relevant Process Mechanical Engineering or equivalent wastewater engineering work experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education + California Professional Engineering License **Preferred Qualifications:** + Five years of relevant water industry-related work experience as a Process Mechanical Engineer or as Water / Wastewater Engineer + Basic knowledge of Hydraulics Institute Standards + Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as AutoCAD, BIM360, REVIT, MicroStation, GIS, Hydrologic/Hydraulic models) + Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and work schedules. + MS Office proficiency. **Additional Information** + No sponsorship will be provided for this role + No relocation will be provided for this role Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
