Overview:TRC is seeking Civil/Mechanical Engineer to join our growing engineering group in Greenville, South Carolina. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual looking for career growth and experience in process design engineering. Our engineering staff provide support for design of a wide variety of technically challenging projects primarily for industrial, utility, renewable energy, and public sector/private clients. The position focuses on a candidate with the ability to work independently or in a project team with demonstrated excellence in written and oral communications, analytical, and professional judgment.
Responsibilities:- Perform civil, mechanical, and process design analysis and calculations according to project requirements.
- Develop site plans, grading plans, P&IDs, Erosion and Sediment Control Design and Permitting, As‑Builts, technical specifications, and/or cost estimates.
- Develop technical approaches for troubleshooting mechanical equipment.
- Conduct operations and maintenance, interpret data collected, and optimize operation of remediation/process water systems.
- Ability to size pumps and model pipe networks.
- Draft technical sections of project communications and reports.
- Assist in the management of projects and support other project managers to include budgets, schedules, and client relations.
- May be responsible for multiple projects simultaneously.
- Implementing TRC's safety, quality, and project management programs.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
- 5+ years of engineering consulting or permitting experience.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or ability to obtain within 2 years.
- Experience with remediation systems, including water pumping and treatment, permitting, and contractor selection and oversight.
- Strong technical writing skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to use or knowledgeable with AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoCAD Plant, or Bentley AutoPlant and/or Water Modeling software such as Bentley Watergems, Autodesk Storm and Sanitary Analysis.
- Possession of a valid driver's license. The position may require moderate local and regional travel up to 20% of the time.
- Working knowledge of health and safety practices.
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen and OSHA physical.
Highly Desired Not Required:
- Professional licensure (P.E.).
- Experience in industrial settings.
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
