Goldberg Segalla, a dynamic and rapidly growing law firm with a national practice, seeks a highly motivated and organized individual to join its team as a Litigation Paralegal supporting attorneys at our Los Angeles or Orange County office. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a paperless environment.
The position requires the ability to multitask effectively and balance working on multiple requests and projects on a daily basis. Strong analytical and organizational skills and attention to detail are required paralegal will assist and provide a wide range of legal support to the supervising attorney(s). These duties include maintaining files, conducting legal research, drafting documents, communicating with clients and other parties involved in the cases, etc. This position requires knowledge of best law firm practices and the legal field.
This role is eligible to be on a hybrid work schedule after in-office training is completed.

This role offers a hourly salary and bonus opportunity. The hourly salary range for this position is $29.00 to $40.00. Actual pay may be adjusted based on experience and other job related factors permitted by law. This position also offers a full benefits package. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Must be self-motivated and able to meet deadlines under pressure
- Must have the ability to work as part of a team, as well as to work independently, with minimal supervision
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
- E-filing knowledge in preparation to file all types of discovery requests, responses to opposing counsel, and motions
- Knowledge of legal documents and terminology
- Knowledge of billing
- Knowledge of investigating the facts of a case
- Conduct research on relevant laws, regulations, and articles
- Organize and maintain documents in the physical file and in the firm’s document Management software
- Gather, maintain current, and arrange evidence and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation
- Write reports to help attorneys prepare for trial
- Obtain affidavits and other formal documents/statements that may be used as evidence in court
- Assist lawyers during trials by handlings exhibits, taking notes, or reviewing trial transcripts
- File exhibits, briefs, appeals, and other legal documents (after the lawyer has reviewed and approved them) with the court or opposing counsel
- Reach out to clients, witnesses, lawyers, and outside vendors to schedule interviews, meetings, or depositions.
BILLING HOUR REQUIREMENT:
- 100 hours per month
EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of experience as a civil litigation and trial paralegal.
- Litigation defense experience is preferred.
- ABA-accredited paralegal certification (or equivalent) preferred
