Overview:
- We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Litigation Attorney with expertise in construction, transportation, product liability, and/or general liability cases.
- The ideal candidate will be licensed to practice law in either Missouri or Illinois and possess a strong track record of successful litigation outcomes in these practice areas.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and analysis on complex civil litigation matters related to construction, transportation, product liability, and general liability.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
- Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
- Provide strategic legal advice and counsel to clients throughout the litigation process.
- Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient case management and client satisfaction.
- Stay abreast of developments in relevant areas of law and incorporate new legal trends and precedents into case strategies.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by delivering exceptional legal services and fostering trust and confidence.
- Manage caseload effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines consistently.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Bar admission in Missouri or Illinois with good standing.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing civil litigation, preferably with a focus on construction, transportation, product liability, and/or general liability cases.
- Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
- Excellent oral advocacy and negotiation abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Commitment to professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience handling complex civil litigation matters in state and federal courts.
- Experience representing clients in alternative dispute resolution forums such as arbitration and mediation.
- Knowledge of relevant statutes, regulations, and case law governing construction, transportation, product liability, and general liability issues.
- Trial experience and a proven track record of favorable verdicts and settlements.
