Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and driven Litigation Attorney with a minimum of 4 years of civil litigation experience, particularly in employment and business law. As part of this team, you will have the opportunity to manage your own caseload, work on challenging legal matters, and deliver tailored legal solutions to diverse clients. From intake to trial, your work will be impactful and meaningful.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent businesses in navigating, preventing, and resolving complex legal issues.
- Conduct depositions and represent clients in court proceedings with confidence and professionalism.
- Advise businesses on structuring effective policies and procedures to mitigate legal risks.
- Research and analyze legal disputes, crafting compelling arguments to support client representation.
- Draft, review, and file legal documents essential to business operations and dispute resolution.
- Identify and address potential legal issues, providing proactive solutions.
- Negotiate contracts, settlements, and transactions on behalf of clients, including mergers and acquisitions.
- Manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Attorney: Admission to the California State Bar is required.
- Civil Litigation Expertise: Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, including employment law (single-plaintiff, class actions, PAGA claims) and business disputes (contract negotiations, enforcement, and more).
- Research and Writing Skills: Proficiency in Westlaw and a strong aptitude for crafting well-reasoned legal arguments.
- Exceptional Communication: Ability to foster trust and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Leadership and Strategy: Proven track record of developing strategies and successfully leading cases through trial.
- Work Ethic: Punctual, organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated, with a willingness to take ownership of tasks.
