Position Overview:
We are seeking a Licensed Professional Engineer for our Civil Engineering Department. In this role, you will lead and guide your team in performing complex drafting assignments, utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software. You will produce detailed engineering project drawings and conduct hydrology calculations, while ensuring that all designs meet project and regulatory requirements. Your role will involve collaborating with clients and project teams and addressing plan revisions and inquiries.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead engineering and design services, offering guidance to assigned team members
- Prepare comprehensive civil packages, including grading and drainage designs
- Execute complex hydrology calculations for drainage feature evaluation
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D for civil design drawings
- Engage with prospective clients and draft service agreements
- Collaborate with project design team members, including architects and contractors
- Conduct on-site evaluations and project inspections
- Address communication with clients, consultants, and contractors
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and engineering software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Strong application of engineering principles, critical thinking, and analysis
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Team-oriented, with the ability to efficiently assign duties and responsibilities
- Keen attention to detail, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary range of $90,000 to $170,000, depending on experience
