Are you passionate about making a positive impact through your civil engineering expertise? We are seeking an experienced Civil Land Development Engineer to join our dynamic team. Our ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual with a strong background in Water Resources Engineering, Surveying, Hydrology, Civil 3D, and Land Development. This is a permanent position where you will have the unique opportunity to work on a wide range of exciting projects, from the initial planning stages through to construction.
Responsibilities:
As a Civil Land Development Engineer, you will have a vital role in our team, with responsibilities including:
1. Designing, planning, and overseeing various land development projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial sites.
2. Utilizing your expertise in Civil 3D to create detailed design drawings and specifications.
3. Conducting hydrology studies and designing stormwater management systems.
4. Performing topographic and boundary surveys, and preparing legal descriptions for parcels.
5. Conducting feasibility studies to estimate materials, time and labor costs.
6. Coordinating with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and local government officials.
7. Ensuring all designs comply with relevant codes, regulations, and best practices in water resources engineering.
8. Providing technical guidance to junior engineers and project teams.
9. Monitoring project progress to ensure that deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional engineering license is highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in land development engineering, with a strong focus on water resources engineering, surveying, and hydrology.
3. Proficiency in Civil 3D and other relevant design software.
4. In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal land development regulations and codes.
5. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders.
7. A proactive approach, with the ability to anticipate potential issues and develop effective solutions.
8. A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements.
