OVERVIEW:
Merrick is seeking a Civil Engineer l with 0-4 years of Civil Engineering experience for our Greenwood Village, CO office. On a case by case basis, Merrick offers a hybrid work environment with the flexibility to work from home and in the office.
Typical salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $83,700.00. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:- Professional judgment on details of work and in making preliminary selections and adaptations of alternatives.
- Ability to exercise initiative, judgment and knowledge as required in areas of responsibility.
- Application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of tasks.
- Prepare working drawings, details, layouts, surveys, estimates, and work products.
- Receive close supervision on new aspects of assignments as required.
- Supervisor will be available to screen assignments and to suggest techniques and procedures to be used on non-routine work.
- Use prescribed methods, performs specific and limited portions of broader assignments of experienced level person.
- May be assisted by other technicians or administrative personnel.
- May coordinate with the work of others who assist in specific assignments.
- Interface with client, and Federal, Local and State government contacts on land development and municipal projects.
- Meet expectations for attendance and punctuality.
- Some travel may be required.
- Degree Requirements: Bachelor of Sciences in Civil Engineering from an ABET Accredited Program.
- Must have zero (0) – four (4) years of experience in Civil Engineering.
- Must be capable of performing independent design tasks and organizing drawings while receiving limited supervision after receiving initial instructions from supervisor.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Fundamentals of Engineering / Engineer- in-Training (EIT) certification.
- Recent experience with Municipal and Land Development work.
- Recent demonstrable experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Applicable internship experience.
