REQUIREMENTS
- BS in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering is required
- PE License required
- 5 or more years' experience in civil / geotechnical engineering including project management experience.
- Geotechnical lab experience strongly desired.
- Experience with quality assurance & control for construction.
- Must be able to do geotechnical engineering analysis.
- Experienced using a variety of geotechnical and environmental instrumentation and equipment.
- Experienced with seismic related geotechnical engineering analyses.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administer construction observation on-site for geotechnical projects.
- Review existing conditions, assess site access for subsurface explorations, and identify important site features.
- Perform field investigations including soil and groundwater.
- Utilize spreadsheets to compile, reduce, analyze, manage, and report field, instrumentation, geological, and/or environmental data.
- Develop written reports, proposals and cost estimates.
- Perform geotechnical engineering evaluations and calculations including, but not limited to, design for retaining walls, shallow and deep foundations, slope stability, pavements and slabs-on-grade.
