Our typical work schedule at the Mitsubishi jobsite is Monday through Thursday, 7:00AM - 5:30PM
The Civil Foreman is responsible for leading, directing, planning, and managing the daily operations of constructing and/or repairing the facility’s structural woodwork and fixtures of wood, plywood, wallboard, and concrete according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings in an industrial environment to ensure delivery of work product that meets or exceeds the customers expectation.
Position Responsibilities - Essential
- Coordinates site activities through planning to ensure the total manufacturing/production objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Establishes and monitors employee performance for production and quality
- Confers with upper management to establish production and/or quality standards, develop controls, and obtains required data from all key operational activities
- Provides direction, development, and leadership to employees
- Provides leadership for problem resolutions to facilitate faster improvements, improves working relationships, and exceeds customers’ expectations
- Ensures compliance with company policies and safety regulations
- Monitors and measures team performance to company goals and objectives through use of established metrics
- Provides leadership and direction for employees through effective communications, mentoring, coaching, training, and development
- Builds rough wooden structures such as concrete forms, scaffolds, temporary framework, according to blueprints or oral instructions
- Builds, repairs, and installs counters, cabinets, benches, partitions, floors, doors, building framework, and trim, using hand tools and power tools, and conforming to local building code
- Reads and interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine required material to be used
- Examines specifications to determine dimensions of structure; Prepares layout and measures using rule, framing square, and calipers; Makes cutting lines on materials, using pencil and scriber; Saws boards and plywood to required sizes
- Fabricates and installs rebar according to blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics
- Pours and finishes concrete according to blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics
- Paints and wallpaper
- Ensure all safety procedures, practices, and regulations are followed before, during, and after the process to foster a positive safety culture by having a safety-first mindset and approach during execution of activities
- Based on the nature of the essential functions associated with this role, GreenWood has designated this as a “safety-sensitive” position.
Position Responsibilities - Non-Essential/Other
- Plans and conducts meetings with subordinates to ensure compliance with established practices, to implement new policies, and keep employees abreast of current changes and standards
- Initiates various personnel actions including, but not limited to, hiring, performance appraisals, promotions, transfers and vacation schedules, train new employees
- Other duties and special projects as assigned
Essential Skills and Experience
- Generally, requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in industry
- Proven leader and team player with strong work ethic

Beneficial Skills and Experience
- Greater than Five (5) years of experience in carpentry, wood-working and concrete processes, and equipment
- One (1) year of civil lead craft experience preferred
