We are seeking a Field Engineer for a role based in Mundelein, Illinois, with a highly respected and innovative company that specializes in transportation and water infrastructure projects. With a focus on topographical surveys, GIS data collection, and construction contract administration, this position offers the chance to work closely on-site during the busy construction season while transitioning to design work in the winter. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Civil Field Engineer position include:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited institution.
5+ years of civil engineering or construction management experience preferred.
Experience in data collection, topographical surveying, and GIS.
Construction contract administration, including managing contractor RFIs, pay applications, and shop drawings.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and CAD software like MicroStation or AutoCAD.
Onsite construction observation, preconstruction document reviews, and start-up commissioning guidance.
Licensure as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Illinois preferred but not required.

Salary: $90,000 - $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
