The Civil Estimator will play a critical role in the pre-construction phase by providing accurate cost estimates for civil construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil construction projects including materials, labor, and equipment.
- Analyze bids and perform bid comparisons to support the selection of subcontractors and suppliers.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure that estimates reflect project scope and requirements.
- Utilize software tools such as HCSS Heavybid and Primavera for scheduling and cost estimation.
- Conduct on-site evaluations and assessments to gather relevant data for accurate estimating.
- Communicate with stakeholders to clarify project specifications and requirements.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards throughout the estimating process.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in estimating within the civil construction industry.
- HeavyBid (HCSS) experience
- MS Office experience
- AGTEK-Take off experience
- Primavera experience
- Experience with Design-Build project delivery methods is a plus
