We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Civil Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a problem solver, eager to take on challenging projects and deliver exceptional results. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a great opportunity for professional growth in a highly collaborative environment. You will be working on a variety of projects, including planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of building structures and infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
As a Civil Engineer, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Managing and directing staff members as they perform their roles, ensuring that the project is moving towards completion.
2. Preparing, reviewing, and approving technical documents including reports, drawings, specifications, and proposals.
3. Applying design software and tools including Revit and AutoCAD in the creation of plans and visual aids.
4. Analyzing survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, and other topographical or geologic data.
5. Managing and conducting feasibility studies, such as soil testing, to ensure that the proposed construction project is physically and environmentally viable.
6. Coordinating with construction professionals, such as architects and contractors, to ensure the project follows the planned blueprint.
7. Ensuring project compliance with legal requirements, especially health and safety.
8. Assessing potential risks, materials, and costs.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is required.
2. A Professional Engineering (PE) license is required.
3. A minimum of 2 years of work experience in a similar role.
4. Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Revit) is required.
5. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
6. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
7. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
8. Strong knowledge of industry standards, building codes, and safety standards.
9. Proven track record in managing all phases of engineering operations from conception to completion.
10. Strong mathematical and IT ability with an analytical approach to problem-solving.
